Assassin's Creed thrusts you into a story of assassinations, conspiracies and betrayals in a remake of the classic PC game.
Assassin's Creed follows the story of Altair, a member of the brotherhood of assassins, who must salvage his reputation within the group. To do this he (i.e. you) needs to eliminate eight Templars, who are planning a third invasion of the Holy Land.
Altair must rely on his climbing skills (any crack in a wall is good enough for him to start climbing it) and stealth moves to complete his missions. The controls in the mobile version of Assassin's Creed are pretty straightforward, and revolve around the standard keypad/direction pad controls for moving around.
This Java version of Assassin's Creed for mobiles is fun to play, though it works around a different gameplay mechanic to the original. This version plays more like a platform game, so it's more linear than the PC/console version.
The 2D graphics in Assassin's Creed are simple but still detailed enough for you to figure out what's going on. Unfortunately, inferior graphic quality is the price you pay for a game that will run on any phone!
Still, Assassin's Creed is great fun to play, especially if you're a fan of platform adventure games.
